Privacy policy

Orbit is a personal organizer desktop app. It runs only on its owner's own computer. This page explains what data Orbit uses and what happens to it.
The short version
- Everything Orbit stores is kept on your own computer.
- Orbit has no server. Nothing is sent to the developer or to anyone else.
- Your data is never sold, shared, or used for ads.
Your Gmail data
If you connect a Gmail account, Orbit uses Google's Gmail API to show, search, send, label, archive and delete your email inside the app. It only does these things when you use those features.
A copy of your email is saved on your computer so Orbit can show and search it quickly, even offline. The sign-in key that Google gives Orbit is kept encrypted in your computer's password store. Your email only travels between your computer and Google.
What Orbit never does
- Send your email or any other data to the developer or to any third party.
- Sell your data or use it for advertising.
- Use your data to train AI models. If you use Orbit's assistant, it runs entirely on your computer, and your email is never sent to an outside AI service.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Orbit's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Deleting your data
You can disconnect Gmail at any time in Orbit's settings. This deletes the saved email and the sign-in key from your computer. You can also remove Orbit's access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/connections.
